A guest photo!  Courtesy of Crystal Kuhlmannwho found this week’s 69-er on Wolfe Island.  Love that the wind turbines are caught in the background!

Martello Towers at Sunrise

Nothing to say about this one, just that I love how it turned out.

Note:  I did find out that these towers are named Shoal Tower, Cathcart Tower and Fort Frederick Tower.  Slightly embarassed about a previous post in which I referred to Shoal Tower as Murney tower; confused the name of one tower with the type of towers.  They are all Martello Towers.

Could this be the longest lasting bar in Kingston?  I’m in awe that it’s still around…and that I’ve yet to step foot inside.  Will have to give it a go one day.

Never know what you might find under a bridge.

(Found below the Division Street overpass near Weller Avenue.)

This will certainly become one of my favourite shops, once I figure out what to buy, and then what to do with it.  :)

Happy 69-er, folks!

Made 4 You

A very cool concept:  Made 4 You is a cooperative supporting Kingston area artisans.  A “by-the-people-for-the-people” shop.  Excellent source for that “something different” gift over the holidays, as well as inspiration for personal projects.

Located on Princess Street, under Roger’s.

Olympia Billiards

While searching for 69s, I came across this forgotten gem with the wicked paint job.  Deceptively small, this place holds a whole lotta pool tables in the back…and some of the best french fries in town.  The original owner is still there, and came to find out what the hell I was doing taking photos of his business.  (Mentioned his fries, and all was well.)

Located on Charles Street, between Bagot & Montreal.
