Nothing to say about this one, just that I love how it turned out.
Note: I did find out that these towers are named Shoal Tower, Cathcart Tower and Fort Frederick Tower. Slightly embarassed about a previous post in which I referred to Shoal Tower as Murney tower; confused the name of one tower with the type of towers. They are all Martello Towers.

There’s been lots of activity at the Memorial Centre lately – and bigger plans are being laid. Thought I should get some shots of it before it becomes unrecognizable!
Light posts are being installed around the track (thank goodness, until now this place has been a crime scene waiting to happen) and the Leo LaFleur public pool will be torn down in the coming year, and rebuilt as a swimming complex including toddler pool, jet pool, and lazy river as the top attractions.
Living across the street from this, I’m very happy to see the changes the city are making to improve recreation in this area. (Far better than a certain ridiculous entertainment complex downtown that was neither voted on nor wanted by the residents whose taxes it almost doubled in the last couple of years.)

One of my favourite places to escape to in Kingston – the library. I love this one because of the free wi-fi, without shelling out $5 for a coffee. (Sorry Starbucks, I love you too, but you’re expensive and have no books.)
This shot was taken from the parkside, behind the library.

This one was taken a while back…but with the lovely name of the boat on the right, how could I not post it?
A couple of drive-by shots aimed too high, but work very nicely as desktop wallpaper. Click on a photo to see full size, then right click on image and choose “Set as desktop background.” Enjoy!

$500,000 (give or take) will buy you a view of Lake Ontario and/or Kingston City Hall. Loss of view from everywhere else? Priceless.

By far, one of my favourite buildings in downtown Kingston. Those windows!!! If only it had a yard (and a driveway, for that matter), I would love to call it home.
However…

…it’s obviously not for sale.
Worse…

…the interior definitely needs some work.
