Memorial Centre Construction
There’s been lots of activity at the Memorial Centre lately – and bigger plans are being laid. Thought I should get some shots of it before it becomes unrecognizable!
Light posts are being installed around the track (thank goodness, until now this place has been a crime scene waiting to happen) and the Leo LaFleur public pool will be torn down in the coming year, and rebuilt as a swimming complex including toddler pool, jet pool, and lazy river as the top attractions.
Living across the street from this, I’m very happy to see the changes the city are making to improve recreation in this area. (Far better than a certain ridiculous entertainment complex downtown that was neither voted on nor wanted by the residents whose taxes it almost doubled in the last couple of years.)

Leroy Grant
I find myself stopped at the Bath Road, Princess & Concession Street traffic lights quite often, and look around for things to shoot. There isn’t a whole lot of pretty there, but I did like how this one turned out.

Happy 69-er!
(This is more difficult to keep up than you might think…so…should anyone find any great 69s in the Kingston area, please take a pic and email to: oola@handwashcold.com Would love to see what everyone comes up with!)

Oak Street Community Garden
Found this little gem, The Oak Street Community Garden, while hitting a few yard sales last Saturday…love the painted signs…
…and this. I hadn’t known sunflowers were just as beautiful after their prime.
Canadian Tire Gas Bar
Straight (slanted?) on, from Bath Road. I think it looks more exciting blurry, at night…clubby, even.
